Keyring Heart

With Valentines day just 10 days away, here's a free one piece heart pattern. Only 4x3cm in size

You will need:

·      Yarn needle 

·      Soft toy filling

·      3mm crochet hook (This pattern can be made with any size yarn and hook. I recommend using a hook 1 size smaller than suggested on the yarn)

·      Pink DK Yarn – Approx. 10m

Stitches and abbreviations used: (US terminology is used)

·      MR - Magic ring (sc unless otherwise specified)

·      Ch - Chain 

·      SC - Single crochet 

·      Inc - Increase stitch (2 single crochets into one stitch)

·      Dec - Decrease stitch (single crochet 2 stitches together)

·      FLO – Front Loop Only 

·      YO – Yarn Over 

·      ST - Stitch                                                    

·      SLST - Slip stitch 

·      R – Round or Row 

·      FO - Finish Off

Other things to note....

·      This pattern is worked in continuous rounds. It is helpful to use a stitch marker to keep track.

·      The number in ( ) at the end of each round indicates the total stitch count for that round.

·      *  * indicates repeated series of stitches. 

·      Use invisible decreases for a neater finished product. This is done by using the FLO of the stitches while making the decrease. 

·      Stitches in [ ]  are worked into one stitch.

       ·      Remember to stuff the product little and often as you work.

1.	6sc into MR (6)
2.	*Inc* x6 (12)
3.	Sc (12)
4.	*2sc, inc* x4 (16)
	Make two of the above. FO the 1st leaving long yarn tail to sew up any gaps from joining. Continue the 2nd  piece.
5.	4sc, 16sc around the 1st piece, 12sc continuing around the 2nd piece (32)
6.	*6sc, dec* x4 (28)
7.	*5sc, dec* x4 (24)
8.	*4sc, dec* x4 (20)
9.	*3sc, dec* x4 (16)
10.	*2sc, dec* x4 (12) - Stuff the piece and continue stuffing until closed.

Mini Whale

I’ve designed this Mini Whale as a one piece make. At 3x4cm, he is perfect for keyrings.

5-7.	Sc (24) – 3 rounds
8.	2sc, FLO - [ch1, 3tr, ch1, slst], FLO – slst, FLO – [ch1, 3tr, ch1, slst] (the tail), Both loops – 5sc, FLO – [3dc, slst] (right flipper), Both loops - 9sc, FLO – [3dc, slst] (left flipper), Both Loops – 3sc (24 as the BLO left over from this round are counted as stitches)
9.	Change to white – sc going into the back loops left over from the previous round where the FLO was used. (24)
10.	*2sc, dec* x6 (18) - Stuff the piece and continue stuffing until end.
11.	*1sc, dec* x6 (12) – place safety eyes between R8-9 in the stitch next to the flippers.
12.	*dec* x6 (6)
	FO – Close hole.
